Our Story

GMEQCA was founded by international recording artist, songwriter, performer and independent music entrepreneur Shunda K, co-founder of Yo! Majesty. 

The company grew from real-world experience navigating recording, touring, international festivals, press, releases, collaborations and the business realities of building an independent career. Today, that experience is being transformed into infrastructure for other independent artists, DJs, producers and emerging labels—combining music, technology, creative development, professional services and independent music-business support under one growing ecosystem.

Artists should understand their business. Creators should protect their ownership. Independent should never mean unsupported. GMEQCA is being built 

around a simple philosophy: give creators access to professional resources, knowledge, strategy and infrastructure while allowing them to remain active participants in the direction of their careers.
